  4. Thou shalt know what a good math lesson incorporates
  5. It follows that thou shalt know the math process expectations
  6. Thou shalt remember the lesson that Ma & Pa Kettle taught us
  7. Thou shalt remember that TIPS lessons are useful:
    • Minds On
    • Action!
    • Consolidate/Debrief
    • Home Activity
  8. Thou shalt know 10 ways to teach any topic because at least one student will need all 10 to grasp the concept
  9. Thou shalt engage all the different learning styles
  10. Thou shalt use Fermi problems to focus on the logical process rather than the "correct" answer
  11. Thou shalt add, subtract, multiply, divide or otherwise manipulate any or all of these commandments to suit the needs of the teacher
  12. The SMART Board is your friend
  13. Thou shalt not drill to kill (except possibly the very basics)
